In Q3 2021, the top communication apps on the Android platform in Ukraine showcased diverse trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active user metrics. Here’s a closer look at their performance, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Azar: Video Chat & Meet People from Hyperconnect LLC saw a notable decline in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $5.6K at the end of June and dropping to around $1.5K by the end of September. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking mid-July at 1.2K before decreasing to the low hundreds by the end of the quarter. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 7.6K and ending the quarter at around 6K.

Getcontact by Getverify LDA experienced consistent weekly revenue, hovering between $1.6K and $2K throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at over 106K in early July and showed a gradual decline, ending the quarter at approximately 64K. The app maintained a high active user base, fluctuating around 1.3M to 1.4M.

Rakuten Viber Messenger from Viber Media reported steady weekly revenue, ranging from $955 to $1.2K. Downloads increased steadily, starting at 32K in late June and reaching over 42K by the end of September. Active users remained robust, with numbers consistently around 9.9M to 10M.

Truecaller: AI Call Blocker by Truecaller saw stable weekly revenue, with figures ranging from $369 to $484. Downloads remained relatively consistent, fluctuating between 2.1K and 3.7K. Active users showed a slight decline from 140K to around 130K throughout the quarter.
